A “Provider” Pattern in Salesforce Lighting

As a developer coming to Lightning, one of the immediate questions is:

How can I share code between my components?

Well, there’s a nice summary of two code-sharing options on the Salesforce Developers Blog: Modularizing Code in Lightning Components. But, Continue reading “A “Provider” Pattern in Salesforce Lighting”

Why is meeting Renewables targets good for business?

The inner eco-warier in me was really pleased to see that Salesforce had hit its renewable energy pledge, especially as they had done so 33 years early! I was particularly interested though in why the Salesforce executive vice president, Mark Hawkins, claimed that it was good for business. The Importance of User Experience within Salesforce

When speaking to people who have been considering Salesforce, there can be an apprehension that it will be a complicated experience. This can be the case, especially if your business has multiple different processes, products, services and markets. Salesforce is built to be able to mirror your business no matter how complicated it is, or which sector it is in. Continue reading “The Importance of User Experience within Salesforce”

Ohana, Salesforce and Me

I often get asked what I like about my job, and working as a Salesforce Consultant. In truth there are several answers I can give to this – I like the variety of work, I like meeting new clients, getting to know them and their business, understanding the challenges and opportunities they face and ultimately, hopefully, helping them reach their potential. How real is Artificial Intelligence?

The Hype of Artificial Intelligence continues to grow as businesses are trying to understand what it is and how it may give them some competitor advantage. Can AI give improved productivity and a improved way of doing business with customers?  The biggest question currently is will AI determine the winners from the losers in business?

Many companies are fearful of AI and further conversations need to be had, however more and more companies are looking to integrate AI into the CRM platforms. Benefits being cited include improved and cheaper customer support, improved lead generation and higher conversion rates. So, is now the time to consider how AI might work for you?

More than 40% of companies surveyed globally said they will adopt AI within the next two years.

I don’t know what’s going on?

Within any business the absence of a staff member, either planned or not, can be a concerning time.  Which of their customers are they working with currently?  What is their latest communication with them? What products and services have they promised, and by when?  All the concerning questions which will run through any manager’s mind.

So as I approach my maternity leave I feel there is one fewer worry for my manager because all of the above I manage using Salesforce. My manager will be able to see exactly which customers I am working with, the latest emails communications and tasks I have logged as well as what I am meant to be billing next month!!!

So whether you are looking to mitigate the risk of an employee suddenly being absent, or like me having a planned break, the one thing which will certainly help with data sharing and communications is a CRM platform to log all the activity across your business. Just one of the many benefits which a CRM platform can offer.

With CRM software, this is a non-argument since every one of your employees will have access to the same customer data and therefore provide the same high level of customer service.
