When is it time for a Salesforce Health Check?

When is it time for a Salesforce Health Check?

Although Salesforce controls a lot of their security features, there are different levels of security that you need to be aware of. The simplest way to do this is by running a Salesforce Health Check.

In this blog, I have listed some of the main reasons for when it would be a good time to run a Health Check. And the benefits it has for your business.

Reason 1: You’re worried about your Orgs Security

As the number of cyberattacks continues to grow, companies need to make sure they are implementing the correct security measures and protecting their customers. One quick and easy way to do this is by running a Salesforce Security Health Check. You can find out what security risks your org faces and how to fix them, all from a single page in the Setup. A summary score shows how your org measures against a security baseline. This is known as Salesforce Baseline Standard.

We recommend running a Security Health Check at least 3 times a year. Before each major SF release when new settings and critical updates are introduced. For larger, more complex orgs, we recommend running this once a month.

Reason 2: Your Salesforce Implementation was over a year ago

Has it been a few years since your Salesforce implementation? Has your business evolved? Or do you have concerns that your Salesforce was not implemented correctly?

Answered yes to any of the above? Then now is a good time to run a health check!

A Salesforce Health Check can allow you to identify the gaps between your business processes and the system. So that you can make the adjustments you need to keep the two aligned. Not only is this good for your current business requirements, we can look at the results from the health check and provide recommendations for your future business requirements as well.

Reason 3: Your company has a security review going on externally

Maybe your IT team is doing a security review across the business, or maybe they are looking at making changes to password security on other platforms. In both cases, it would make sense to have the same requirements set out and aligned for all the platforms.
