My Top 10 Favourite Pardot Features

Have you recently made the leap and joined the Pardot world? Or are you looking for features that can help with your Marketing Automation? Well, look no further as I’m about to share with you some of my favourite Pardot features, that I hope you’ll find helpful.

1. It’s all about the automation

One great thing about Pardot is that you have the choice of sending the email right there and then, or scheduling it for a later date. There’s no need to keep worrying about it! Before you’re sending your email make sure you’ve ticked everything off your checklist. If you don’t have one don’t worry, you can use our Email Pre-Send Checklist for even more assurance!

In addition to all that, Pardot automation is not only limited to email scheduling. For other features in which you can utilise automation to the fullest, have a read of Automation, Automation, Automation.

2. Easy Navigation

Pardot Features

Pardot understands that customers need a clean and easy user interface, so they work hard to develop feature practicality and functionality.

For example, you have the ability to create a Campaign, Email, Form, List etc. straight within the Folder. This saves so much time and effort from referring back to the menu on the left side of the screen and going through one item at a time.

With improved workflows and ease of access, using Pardot for common tasks and projects, marketers are able to accomplish much more, faster.

3. Personalisation

In this digital media landscape building relationships is key to success, and Pardot does not fall short here.

Personalisation is available with both variable tags – such as first name, last name, email address – and with dynamic content. Have your audience experience human to human contact and ensure you are providing the right and relevant content to each audience for example by localising the email language.

4. Marketer Friendly

You don’t have any HTML or CSS experience? Thinking about it makes your head spin? Don’t worry! You don’t have to be a coding expert to use Pardot.

Pardot gives you the ability to edit template drafts within the editor tab rather than looking for the right section in the HTML. Phew!

5. Targeting & Segmentation

Segmenting your prospects through dynamic lists, gives you the capability to aim at the audience you want to reach out to or engage with. See what else you can do with dynamic lists.

6. Proofing Emails

Pardot gives you the choice of sending yourself a test copy of the email you are preparing. This provides you the chance to have a good look at it before risking it and sending it out to thousands of your prospects! It’s always important to check the layout and formatting of your email and if you’ve used any variable tags they are working correctly. What a relief!

7. Valuable Reporting

Pardot has an immense amount of reporting available for your marketing assets, connected apps, prospect lifecycle and campaigns. I particularly find the List Email Reports very useful. The report gives a visual break down of the most important data about your sent emails. You can view how well your sent emails performed through the following:

  1. Reports Tab
    • Basic information and metrics about the email send
    • Open rate pie chart shows % of opened, bounced, and unopened emails
    • Clicks report provides insight about the links in the email and how prospects clicked each
  2. Interaction Tab
    • Engagement & Activity Report gives you data on how the recipients engaged with your email, such as glanced or unread, skimmed, read, print, forward.
  3. Email Clients Tab
    • This report enables you to capture and track what devices or email clients your prospects use to open this Pardot email.

8. Continuous Improvement

Constantly improve your campaigns with A/B testing. Test which email design will perform better with your prospects. Become an expert at optimising your Pardot emails with Perfect your Pardot Emails with A/B Testing.

9. Organisation with Pardot Tags

You can do so much with Pardot Tags and keeping your instance organised is only one of them. Achieve a well performing Pardot instance by following our Pardot Tag Guidelines & Processes.

10. Real-Time Editing

View your landing page while you are editing it and see the changes you have made in real time. Note! All the changes you save on your landing page will affect your live page, as there’s no publish button on the pages.

There you go, these are my top 10 favourite Pardot features and tools. I hope I’ve been able to show you some new features, if you’d like to learn more please get in touch with us.
