5 new Marketing Cloud Next features we’re excited to try

The Spring ’26 release is here, and it’s a significant milestone for Marketing Cloud Next (also known as Agentforce Marketing). This release focuses on making the “Agentic Enterprise” a reality, moving beyond simple automation to a world where AI agents work alongside your marketing team to drive meaningful customer interactions.

At Nebula, we have seen how Marketing Cloud Next has evolved since it has been released. Here are five highlights we’re particularly excited about at Nebula.

1. Business Units for Marketing Cloud Next

For larger organisations, the lack of Business Units (BUs) has often been a hurdle to considering Marketing Cloud Next. In this release, BUs are officially arriving, allowing you to partition data and marketing assets to match your organisational structure.

You can now create up to 50 Business Units per organisation. This means your different brands, regions, or divisions can operate in their own secure workspaces while leadership maintains high-level visibility. By mapping each BU to its own data space, you ensure that segments and reporting stay relevant to the right team without any data “leakage”.

2. Briefs and Campaigns in Agentforce

Get ready to power up your productivity as campaign planning just got a lot faster. Marketers can now draft and preview campaign briefs directly within an Agentforce conversation. Instead of starting from a blank page, you can upload strategic documents (like PDFs or Word files) to Salesforce Files, and the AI will use them as “grounding” material to build your brief.

Agentforce will automatically suggest target audiences, key messages, and campaign goals based on your instructions. Even better, it now uses your specific brand tone and identity to generate previews for emails and SMS, meaning you spend less time on manual edits and more time on strategy.

3. Customisable Email Preference Pages

Unfortunately, this feature was removed from the release. We hope to see it return in Summer ’26!

Consistency is key to customer trust, yet preference centres have often felt like a forgotten corner of the user experience. You can now design branded custom preference pages that reflect your company’s visual identity across every channel.

The new Customisable Preference Page feature allows you to create distinct pages for different channels, ensuring that when a subscriber goes to manage their settings, the experience feels like a seamless extension of your website rather than a generic system page.

4. Two-Way Conversational Email and SMS

We’ve all seen the “no-reply” email address, the ultimate conversation killer. Marketing Cloud Next is moving us from Monologues to Dialogues with Two-Way Conversational Email and SMS.

Powered by Agentforce, your campaigns can now engage customers in responsive, threaded conversations. If a customer replies to a marketing email or SMS with a question about a product or a shipping update, an AI agent can interpret their intent and provide a personalised response instantly. It’s a game-changer for capturing high-intent replies and providing support right when the customer is most engaged.

5. Emails with PDF Attachments

Sometimes the best updates are the simplest ones, and this one is something we have had many requests for. You can now attach PDF documents (up to 5 MB) directly to your Marketing Cloud Next emails.

Whether it’s a white paper, a user guide, or a formal document, you can select the file from Salesforce CMS and include it in your send. It’s a feature our clients have requested for a long time, and we’re thrilled to see it move from the wishlist to the platform.
