With the Salesforce Summer’21 release date just around the corner, we’ve put together some of the main features we are looking forward to seeing.
1. Update Fields from the Report Run Page with Inline Editing (Beta)
Inline Editing for reports is finally here! We’ve seen how useful this feature is with List views. But now you can also update certain types of Text, Checkbox and Numeric fields without leaving the report run page. For Example, if a Sales Rep notices their opportunities are out of date and need to change the close date, they can update the opportunity close dates in one place.

2. Download a Dashboard Image to a File
Good news! You no longer need to use Screen Capture apps if you want an image of your dashboards. The new Summer’21 release allows you to download a Dashboard Image to a PNG file. Which you can then use to share on your presentations, documents and to the non-Salesforce Users of the Company!
Availability: Lightning Experience in Group, Essentials, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions.

3. See Record Access Reasons in Lightning Experience
Previously, if you wanted to see which User has access to a record you would have to switch back to Salesforce Classic. Now with the new update, all you have to do is view the Sharing Hierarchy on the record to see who has access, what level of access and why!

4.Native Sales Navigator Integration with LinkedIn
You may already know that LinkedIn Sales Navigator integration was available only via the AppExchange as an App. However in the new Release, Salesforce provides native LinkedIn Navigator integration. Which includes a component that can be added to Lead, Contact, Account and Opportunity objects on the Lightning Page layout. This feature also allows you to add InMail and Request Connection Lightning actions to pages so that you can connect with your Prospect and Customers without having to leave Salesforce.
Availability: Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Professional, and Unlimited editions.

5. Create a Dynamic Actions Bar for your App Page
Last but not least, this exciting feature will allow you to drag, drop and configure the Dynamic Actions Bar component on your App Page, via the Lightning App Builder. It allows you to customise the bar with both Standard and Custom Global Actions, and set the component visibility so that different Users can see Actions relevant to them.
Availability: Lightning Experience in all editions
