Passing Your Pardot Consultant Exam

The Salesforce Certified Pardot Consultant program is designed for individuals who have experience implementing the Pardot application.

Prerequisites

Before you can take this exam you need to have gained the Pardot Specialist Certification.

If you need to complete this, we have some tips that can help you pass, find out how.

When to take the exam

Salesforce suggests you have at least 6 months hands on experience with Pardot and have implemented the system before.

You need to be able to identify the best ways for a company to use the different Pardot functions and features before you should take the exam.

I have been working with Pardot for 2 years before I took the exam.

How to prepare

The Salesforce exam guide is a great checklist of what you will need to know for the exam. I worked through each of the recommended learnings to ensure I knew all the areas that the exam would cover.

Also working through the trailhead modules helped to get to know how each area works.

What to expect

All questions are multiple choice, with several questions being very lengthly.

The best way to tackle these lengthly questions is to mark them and to come back to them later so that you can tackle the simpler questions first.

Some of the answers look extremely similar, so make sure you read through them carefully! One missed word could mean you select the incorrect answer.

You have 105 minutes to answer 60 questions and need a pass score of 70%.

Top Tips!

Mark questions to come back to later if you are struggling to find the answer. You don’t have time to waste pondering over one question for too long.

When there are lengthly answers that all look the same, note them down on a piece of paper and cross out the sections that are the same, helping to break down the differences and be able to see more clearly which answer looks correct.

Don’t forget to celebrate once you have passed!
