Mid-November saw 170,000 Salesforce fans descend on San Francisco for the world’s largest tech conference, Dreamforce 2017: All eager to get a first look into the new features being planned for Salesforce over the coming months.

Here we round up some of the biggest announcements.

MyLightning

Right from the keynote, it’s clear that customisation and personalisation are the next big things for Salesforce. For evidence of this, look no further than ‘myLightning’ – a customisable version of Salesforce allowing for full company branding – from logo to colour scheme. In addition, a huge advance will be the ability to show/hide Lightning components dependent on values in fields. Look out for myLightning from early 2018.

MySalesforce

Users of Salesforce1 mobile app will love this. mySalesforce allows you to build your own Salesforce mobile apps – bespoke for different lines of business if needed. A low code solution, Salesforce say you’ll be able to build and publish apps quickly with point-and-click tools.

MyEinstein

One we were expecting, myEinstein builds on existing Einstein functionality, allowing you to build out your own AI models using data from within your organisation’s Salesforce.

MyTrailhead

One announcement we’re particularly excited about is myTrailhead. After reinventing how users can explore new Salesforce features, learn about key functionality and practice skills with Trailhead, myTrailhead now allows companies to build their own branded Trailhead platforms specifically for their business. MyIoT
Have you been looking to undertake a major IoT cloud integration, but found that you didn’t have the tools at your disposal, or the project was unexpectedly complicated? Apparently, you are not alone – according to Cisco, 60% of these projects do not even get past a proof of concept.

Salesforce took this one step further and concluded that many projects fail because of the layers of complex code and the level of expertise required was too great. But no longer – Salesforce IoT (with a version to be available to anyone with an Enterprise licence or higher) – allows anyone, from Developers to end users to build, iterate and deploy proactive sales, service or marketing business processes. Using a low code configuration users can build iterative, successful IoT projects.
